Current Skin Care Loves - October 2024

I feel like so many others, during the pandemic, I tried and trialled so many new skin care products. Now, I have a list of favorites and things I always fall back on. I wanted to share my current list of favorites with you and ask for your help as I am still looking for a few pieces to add to the collection.

Cleansers

We will start off with cleansers, over the course of the last few years I have completely fallen in love with the Summer Fridays Super Amino Gel Cleanser. This was one of the first cleansers I tried that didnt really lather. It doesnt foam or get very bubbly but I find that it still can melt away make up and never irritates my skin. Though everyone is different when it comes to skin sensitivity, this product is vegan and cruelty free!

Another Cleanser that I have been obsessed with is the Glow Recipe Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser. You will see by my list of favorites, that I quickly became a follower of the Glow Recipe line. I first tried this in a min kit that I received as a kit, and since then, I have been hooked. I use the mini when I travel and I find that it makes my skin feel plump and clean. It is formulated with hyaluronic acid, and gentle AHAs. Not to mention the subtle sweet smell.

Toners

Mediheal Madecassoside Blemish Pad are new to my shelf but I am in love with using them as both a toner and a sheet mask. I put them on my cheeks, and then I cut one in half diagonal and use it on my chin and nose. I love that these can easily wipe away dead skin cells and tackles one of my biggest skin concerns, uneven skin texture. While I love this product, I probably only use it twice a week.

My every day toner is the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow PHA + BHA Pore-Tight Toner. I no longer have flaky skin, it feels bouncy and hydrated. This goes with me when I travel, when I am at home, and I often gift this to people. That’s how much I love this product. I don’t even bother looking at other toners when they release because this is my ultimate skin care must have.

Serums

I feel like a good skin care routine isn’t complete without a good serum. And for me, I mix two serums in my third step of my skin care routine. I am currently using The Ordinary Multi-Peptide + HA Serum (used to be called The Buffet), and The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Oil Control Serum. I am hoping to target skin texture, hyperpigmentation, and sebum control. As of right now, this combo is really doing me wonders. What are your favorite serums? I am always down to try a new one that will target my concerns. Plus, I am trying to gua sha more, and I find that I like to do that, during this step of my skin care routine.

Sheet Masks + Eye Masks

On days that I skip the serums, I will do a some masks for a little self care. Some of my favorites include the Mediheal Essential Teatree Mask. I love how drenched in serum these are. But most of all, I love how big the mask itself is. I have a rather large face/head… So this is great for making sure every inch of my face is getting the pampering.

I also love a good under eye mask, but the Wander Beauty Baggage Claim Eye Masks. These are not only so cute, but I love
